The Okano Family.
I’m so happy that God brought this family across my path, all the way from Japan. Masae has become a good friend of my mom and I have enjoyed getting to know her and her family as well! They are all so sweet and kind hearted. The love they have for one another just radiates from them. A few years back while they were living in Indiana, a bad storm came through and lightning struck their home. They lost all digital images they had on their computer. That meant every photo they had of their son from the time he was born to age 7 was gone! They were devastated when they found out those photos were gone forever. However, that made this session that much more special for each of them. New images to remind them of their time here in Michigan, the love they have for one another, and a fun opportunity to capture new memories. It was also such a pleasure to be the first photographer to take professional images for them since they have moved to the U.S. Although this blog post is digital, I made sure they got some physical prints as well. I never want them to lose everything again! What a good reminder to have tangible photos to pass along and not always just rely on technology!
